Mr. Hans B Sicat is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE). He is an independent director of the Philippine Dealing System Holdings Corporation (PDS), a subsidiary of PSE, as well as independent director to Philippine Dealing and Exchange Corporation and Philippine Depository & Trust Corporation, subsidiaries of PDS. He is also an independent director of Export Industry Bank, a publicly listed company. He sits as director of the Serica Credit Balanced Fund and the Master Fund, which are funds managed by Serica Capital, a credit hedge fund with management based in Hong Kong.
He is also the President and CEO of LegisPro Corporation, a Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) firm, which he Co-founded in September 2008.
Prior to this, Mr. Sicat spent over two decades as an international investment banker for various predecessor firms of Citigroup where he was personally involved in over US$ 20 billion of transactions. He was Chief Representative of Citigroup Global Markets Asia Pacific Ltd. - Philippines Representative Office from 2000 to 2008 and Member of the Country Coordinating Committee of Citigroup Philippines. He was Director and Philippine Investment Banking Head of Salomon Smith Barney Asia Pacific Ltd – HongKong from 1996 to 2000; Managing Director for Asian Fixed Income of Citicorp International Limited – HongKong from 1993 to 1996; Vice President and Capital Markets Asia Head from November 1992 to November 1993; and Vice President and Senior Transactor of Citicorp Securities, Inc. – New York City. He started his career as an Analyst and Staff Member of Asset Products Department from 1985 to 1987 of Citibank N.A. – New York City.
He did Coursework for the Ph.D Economics Program from the University of Pennsylvania, and earned his Master of Arts in Economics and his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics both from the University of the Philippines.
